About Mary's House
We are a part of the Catholic Worker movement, focused on the works of mercy, serving those who are in need of healing and love in our community.
Our Mission
At Mary’s House, we strive to live out
our Catholic faith and love our neighbor through the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. We embrace simple living,
self-sustenance, relying on God’s providence, and restoring the dignity of every human being.
We look to our Blessed Mother as an example of love in action, and draw from the Catholic Worker movement started by Dorothy Day in the 1930’s.

Our Vision
We are here to share God's grace, mercy, forgiveness and love, in stark opposition to the values of secular society.
We embrace a simple way of life, working with farm animals, growing our own food, and doing life-giving work on the land.
About our Heron
A great blue heron has been seen flying over our creek at different times when we were working on the land. Her presence is so peaceful and majestic. She's been watching over us from the beginning the way our Blessed Mother Mary has and she reminds us of the grace she brings to our family and community. If you visit in the early evening right before dusk, you might catch a glimpse of her fishing in Goose Creek, which borders our property.
